Following the hugely succesful Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Entec and The University of Portsmouth, a new project has been established focussing on developing Spare Parts Inventory Optimisation Models.
The project is based around the principle that global manufacturers are under constant pressure to reduce their operational costs. MRO supply chain integration gives these organisations huge potential to unlock value and achieve extensive cost savings. As an MRO Integrator, Entec’s objective is to drive down the cost by rightsizing all inventory levels, with the challenges faced by this project leading to a new, robust, cross-business excel model to optimise these quantities.
The project is scheduled to run from June to September, with updates here throughout.
